Full Job Description
The Prospect Research & Development Analyst (“the Analyst”) is a core member of the cutting-edge Prospect Development team at the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health. Through prospect identification, research, and management; through data acquisition, monitoring and analysis; the Analyst deepens the Foundation’s relationships with prospects, donors, and supporters. The Analyst plays a vital role in helping the Foundation meet its goals for fundraising, engagement, communications, and stewardship.
This role reports to the Assistant Director of Prospect Research.
Local candidates are preferred, and fully remote candidates will be considered. Please note, if a remote candidate is selected for the position, compensation will be adjusted for their geographic location.

GENERAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Assistant Director:
Proactively identify, research, and analyze new and existing donors and prospects for gift cultivation, with an emphasis on major and principally rated prospects, many sourced from grateful patient family data.
Respond in a timely manner to all research inquiries which may include financial assets, potential for philanthropic support, business and professional affiliations, areas of interest and other Hospital affiliations.
Interpret and analyze biographical and financial information on individuals, corporations, and foundations, based on fundraising strategies and objectives to inform the fundraising process.
Lead select gift officer monthly check-ins and actively participate in portfolio review and prospect management strategy discussions.
Serve as a liaison to select fundraising teams.
Write and edit succinct and informative prospect profiles and present information to a variety of stakeholders.
Monitor and maintain periodicals and news alerts for relevant data on prospects.
Ensure the department’s data collection activities are in line with goals and prospect records are fully filled out and are in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
